Help and Support for those experiencing Domestic Abuse

With the continuing lockdown there is a risk of increased domestic violence.

Here are some useful numbers you can call if you find you need help or support.

If you are in danger call 999

 

If you can’t speak but are in danger dial 999

You will then hear:

  • “Which Service?”
  • “I cannot release your line until you say do not need an emergency service
  • “If you are unable to speak but need an emergency service tap the handset, Cough, Make a Noise”

The operator will wait 45 seconds for an answer.

Then the call is put through to a Police automated message

  • “This is the Police, if you require any emergency service press 55 on you keypad now”
